By using VakilDesk, you agree to these terms.
1. The Service
VakilDesk provides tools for case management, document drafting, legal research assistance, and cross-examination preparation, intended for use by licensed legal practitioners.
2. AI-Generated Content
Some features use AI to generate drafts, summaries, research references, or suggested questions. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated, and is provided as a drafting aid only — it is not legal advice and must be independently reviewed and verified by a qualified advocate before use in any legal proceeding or client matter.
3. Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of any data you upload, including ensuring you have appropriate authorization to process your clients’ personal and case information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You agree not to misuse the platform, including uploading unlawful content or attempting to disrupt the service.
4. Payments
Paid features are billed as described at checkout, processed via Razorpay. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
5. Intellectual Property
The platform’s software, design, and non-user content are owned by VakilDesk. You retain ownership of the case data and documents you upload.
6. Limitation of Liability
VakilDesk is provided “as is.” We are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on AI-generated output without independent professional review, or for outcomes of legal proceedings. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding 3 months.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Karnataka having jurisdiction.
